Grammar School
Kindergarten Jamie Buse
Jamie Buse teaches K4/K5 at Providence. She is married to Vernon and together they have three beautiful daughters, Haleigh, Gracie and Ella. Jamie is a graduate of Midwestern State University and has spent the last 3 years teaching special education at the preschool level. Prior to that, she performed many different jobs in the early childhood field including teaching infants/toddlers in a mother’s day out program and also was a stay at home mom. Jamie loves teaching young children because their excitement and joy about learning new things is very rewarding! The Buse family fell in love with classical education when their oldest daughter began attending school at Providence. They feel extremely blessed at Providence and love the sweet culture of the students and families here. Jami and the family are also very involved at church. They love to swim, have cookouts, and spend time with family and friends.

1st Grade Shara Fry
Shana Fry teaches the First Grade class. She is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Music. She is in her sixth year of teaching and in her second year at Providence. She has been married 13 years and has two boys ages 6 and 7 who also attend Providence. Her hobbies include reading, sewing, playing the piano, singing and volunteering at church. |

2nd-3rd Grade Stacy Willhelm
Stacy Willhelm, along with her husband Kevin were one of the founding families of Providence Classical Academy, in 2007. They have three children, Austin, Dillon, and Ella, all students at Providence. Stacy holds a bachelor's degree in education with a specialization in reading and has 15 years of teaching experience. She has been in an administrative role for three years at Providence. She is currently the 2nd & 3rd grade teacher, as well as the grammar school administrator. When asked what she loves most about Providence, she states it is the sweet culture of the students and close knit family atmosphere. She absolutely loves teaching Bible, Ancient Egyptian History and Literature integrated to her 2 & 3rd graders. Stacy’s hobbies include reading, playing games with the family, scrapbooking, and her early morning spin classes. |

4th-6th Grade
Cassie Irwin
Cassie Irwin is married to Dave Irwin, who serves on the Board at Providence. They have five children, Hunter (9th) at ATEMS High School here in Abilene, Shelby (8th), Sidney (4th), Holly (2nd) and Caleb (K) at Providence. This is Cassie's first year at Providence, and prior to this she served at her church as the Director for Children's Ministry for three years. She has also had experience as a preschool director, a homeschooling Mom, and a public school teacher. She is currently the 4th grade teacher. Cassie was drawn to teach at Providence after seeing how her four youngest children have grown and been enriched over their last three years at the school. She has enjoyed the calm environment and small class sizes so far this year, and looks forward to learning more as she teaches her wonderful students. Her favorite subject to teach to her 4th graders is Literature. She has said that if she could she would visit the library daily, and she enjoys sharing her love of books with her class. Cassieís hobbies include reading, activities with the family, digital scrapbooking, making jewelry, walking and Jazzercise. |

5th-6th grade, Omnibus
Anastacia Hines
Anastacia Hines started teaching at Providence in 2010 after spending five years in public education. She is the mother of Jake, age 2, and Derek, age 4, both of whom look forward to becoming Providence Lions. Stacia enjoys her role as 5th & 6th grade teacher. She discovered classical education through the writings of Dorothy Sayer and Susan Wise Bauer. Upon discovering that Abilene had it’s own classical Christian school, she leaped at the opportunity to participate and raise her own children in this environment. When she is not playing with her little boys or grading papers, Stacia enjoys reading theology, attending church services, watching foreign films, sipping coffee, and reading economic and political blogs. |

Latin
Tulisha Scott
Tulisha Scott is new to Providence this year. She teaches Latin to students as young as 2nd grade. She admires the collegiality among the faculty and how everyone works together for the benefit of the students.
Tulisha is also pretty new to Abilene. She moved here a year ago after marrying Brian, a graduate student at ACU. She is proud to delcare herself a Tennessean and an alumna of Rhodes College in Memphis. |

Art
Rosetta Moore
Rosetta Moore has enjoyed teaching students from pre-school through 12th grade since 1985.
Mrs. Moore studied music and art at Michigan Christian College, where she also met her husband, Mark. They have 3 sons, a daughter-in-law, and one grandson and just last month celebrated 32 years of marriage. Mrs. Moore taught in the classroom and the fine arts at Evergreen Christian School (formerly, Abilene Community Christian Academy), for more than 15 years, then served as Director of the school in 2003, for the next six years. She currently teaches studio art, private voice, and is a tutor. She is enthusiastically involved in various fine arts at her church, and in our community. Rosetta is currently teaching Art History/Art Application to students in grades Kindergarten through 9th grade at Providence.

Karen Hogue
Karen Hogue has extensive experience in the field of music and drama, not only in practice, but in instruction as well. For the past 4 years prior to coming (back) to Abilene and Providence, Karen instructed a yearly musical at Live Oaks Classical school in Waco for the Grammar 6 students as well as starting a Logic/Rhetoric choir there. Karen and her husband Wes have two children, Hannah and Judson, that attend Providence. |

Science
Donna Warren
Donna Martin Warren began her teaching career as a home schooling mom. She moved to teaching the older students at a church sponsored school for the next 17 years. Donna has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and English. She also has worked with adult education and literacy programs and is certified in dyslexia therapy. Donna currently teaches Biology, Integrated Physics & Chemistry and General Science, as well as co-teaches Speech and Debate at Providence. Her greatest delight is to see the moments when a student grasps an idea that will be with him for a lifetime. Providence Classical Academy offers the richness of curriculum, the standard of excellence and the focus on Christ that she has always wanted for her granddaughters. |

Dean of Students Math, Logic & Physical Education
Shawn Jergenson
Shawn Jergenson serves as Dean of Students at Providence Classical Academy. He is a graduate of Friends University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education. Shawn teaches Math, Formal and Informal Logic to 7th through 9th graders and is the Physical Education Director for the grammar school students at Providence. Shawn is married to Kristi and together they have six children. He is the head coach for the Texas Wind, an independent football team for private school and home school students. His interests are coaching football and spending time with family.
